About 30 minutes by car from Hakuba, this is a whole-house rental standing quietly by a pond. Step out onto the wood deck and the water opens up before you, while the ridgelines of the surrounding hills slowly fade into dusk.
The mountains hold their snow into early spring, and if you are lucky, you may catch the Northern Japan Alps still wearing white. A little away from the bustle of the tourist spots, here you can stay within the quiet of Shinshu itself.

On clear days, a brilliant white ridgeline appears beyond the hills. To meet mountains still holding their snow into around April is a day of rare good fortune. Precisely because the view depends on the weather, it becomes one you will not forget.
A base for exploring Hakuba and Shinshu
About 30 minutes by car to the Hakuba area, the location is ideal as a starting point for skiing, mountain walks, and touring the sights of Shinshu. Head out to your heart's content during the day, then return at night to a house where no one will disturb you. Spend time that is yours alone, with the people you feel most at ease around.
